Carl Smart, MD received his Pulmonary and Critical Care training at Yale University New Haven Hospital. In 2001, Dr. Smart founded and operated a solo pulmonary and critical care private practice and was responsible for day-to- day operational, strategic, and financial decision-making which resulted in revenues in excess of $2 million annually.
These experiences transformed Dr. Smart into a thought leader which allowed him to act as a consultant and offer opinions and advice to Fortune 500 companies as to best practices, innovative marketing strategies, new and improved methodologies, and ground-up infrastructure development. Recognizing the shifting landscape of healthcare, Dr. Smart pursued and obtained a Masters in Business Administration allowing him to expand and diversify his knowledge base in order to better bridge the gap between policy makers and healthcare practitioners. Dr. Smart is originally from Montego Bay, Jamaica.
